Finding love begins within.

Do you hope that finding love will make you feel whole?  Are you waiting to meet your soul mate before you can fully love yourself and be truly happy?

If so, you’re getting it all wrong.  If you really want to meet the man of your dreams, someone who will love, cherish and adore you.. then first you’ve got to learn to really love yourself.

I know that failed relationships and ongoing dating can scrape you raw and negatively affect your confidence.  Each month that passes by as you’re looking for love can impact you more and more.  However, that can all change if you learn to fall in love with yourself.

The relationship with yourself is the only one that is guaranteed to last from the day you are born to the day you die… and yet, too often we can put ourselves down and have such negative self-talk.

What’s great about you?  What can you offer to a relationship?

Make a list of all the wonderful traits and qualities that you can offer to your soul mate.  Dig deep and really acknowledge how much you have to give.  Read through this list regularly, it will help you to feel more confident about yourself.

If you catch yourself in the middle of negative self-talk, stop in your tracks and say ‘NO!’ … then think of one wonderful thing about you instead.

Keep a self-love journal.  Each night before bed, write down three new positive things about yourself (e.g. this could be physical features, achievements, personality traits or something you are proud of that happened that day)..  When you’re feeling low, refer back to this journal and read through your document of self-love ❤
